Display Troubleshooting

Contrast / Focus / Blank / Solid Color / Spots or Lines

  1. Ensure the terminal is not in “Screen-Saver Mode” by touching the screen to see if it reactivates.

  2. Verify power to terminal.

    • If there is no power, unplug the terminal power cord from the outlet and use another device to confirm outlet is functioning. 

  3. Firmly seat the power cord into the rear of terminal and the electrical outlet.

  4. Ensure power switch is in ON position. (O pressed in is OFF.)

  5. Power reset the terminal using one of the following methods:
    • Hold power button on top right of the terminal display for 8 seconds, then press once to restart.

    • Toggle the ON/OFF switch located on the back of the terminal.

    • Unplug the power cord from wall for 10 seconds and then plug it back in.
  1. While terminal is loading, or the power is off, clean the touchscreen with a soft cloth dampened with alcohol or non-ammonia based glass cleaner.

Intermittent

  1. Ensure the terminal is properly plugged in and firmly seat the power cord into the rear of the terminal and the outlet.

  2. Ensure the power switch is in "ON" position. (O pressed in is Off).

  3. Power reset the terminal using one of the following methods:
    • Hold power button on top right of the terminal display for 8 seconds, then press once to restart.

    • Toggle the ON/OFF switch located on the back of the terminal.

    • Unplug the power cord from wall for 10 seconds and then plug it back in.

Game Icons Missing

Quick Pick buttons may disappear or disappear intermittently if there is a communication issue.

  • If there is a communication error (Comm Line Down, Comm Retrying, Comm Online - Back Up, or experiencing slow transactions) troubleshoot for communcations.

  • If communication is online (Comm - Online):

    1. Sign off and then Sign back on.

    2. Ensure the printer is connected and is loaded properly.

    3. Power reset the terminal using one of the following methods:

      1. Hold power button on top right of the terminal display for 8 seconds, then press once to restart.

      2. Toggle the ON/OFF switch located on the back of the terminal.

      3. Unplug the power cord from wall for 10 seconds and then plug it back in.

Screen Saver Mode

There is an energy-saving feature that causes the screen to go into "Standby Mode" and darken (black) after a period of inactivity.

  • Simply touch the screen to reactivate the display.

 

Touchscreen Troubleshooting

No Response / Invalid Response / Frozen Screen

  1. Power reset the terminal using one of the following methods:
    • Hold power button on top right of the terminal display for 8 seconds, then press once to restart.

    • Toggle the ON/OFF switch located on the back of the terminal.

    • Unplug the power cord from wall for 10 seconds and then plug it back in.
  1. While terminal is loading or power is off, clean the touchscreen with a soft cloth dampened with alcohol or non-vinegar based glass cleaner.
