WinCheck Troubleshooting
No Read - Intermittent Read - Error Messages
1. Verify what the WinCheck display screen is showing.
2. Secure data connection from WinCheck to rear of terminal.
3. Check WinCheck for objects/paper jammed in it, which can cause error messages or make WinCheck unable to read tickets.
4. Power off WinCheck by locating WinCheck power cord and unplugging it from wall. (Wait 5 seconds then plug back in).
5. Turn off the terminal.
6. Restore power to WinCheck.
7. Turn terminal on.
8. Test WinCheck by scanning ticket.
No Power - Constant Reset
1. Locate WinCheck power cord and ensure it’s plugged in securely at wall.
2. Verify power to the WinCheck:
- Unplug WinCheck power cord from wall and plug a small appliance into socket temporarily (i.e. radio, etc.)
- Check circuit breaker/fuse for that outlet.
- If power to outlet exists, perform reboot sequence (unplug and replug).
- If no power to outlet, advise retailer to use alternate power outlet and contact a professional for further service on faulty outlet.
3. Ensure data connection from the WinCheck to the terminal is secure.
4. Turn off the terminal.
5. Restore power to the sign (plug back in).
6. Turn terminal on.
5. Test WinCheck by scanning ticket.
Beeping
1. Secure connections.
2. Reset lottery terminal.
3. Wait for terminal to load-up.
4. Sign-on.
5. Ensure terminal is functional then test the WinCheck by scanning ticket.
Burnt/Smoking
- Unplug WinCheck immediately.
